It started with a cousin's wedding. The family had spent days coordinating with a print shop — choosing paper, waiting for proofs, correcting spelling mistakes, paying for reprints, and finally sending physical cards that arrived at some addresses two days before the wedding itself.
Relatives in the US never got their cards at all. The WhatsApp group ended up becoming the real invitation — a blurry photo of a printed card with "Pls forward to all" written on it.
